Aston Villa 'have now improved' transfer offer – 'Usual money game' being played by all parties

Aston Villa have been negotiating a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Donyell Malen for days and 'have now improved' their offer.
That's according to BILD, who report that Aston Villa want Malen and Malen wants Villa, but an agreement is yet to be reached.
They report that Malen has 'given the green light' to a move to Aston Villa and the Premier League side have now improved their transfer offer.
However, Dortmund's sports director Sebastien Kehl is insisting on his 'fixed price expectations', around €25m, being met by Aston Villa. An agreement is 'still pending' at this moment in time and the 'usual money game' is being played by both sides.
This is all alongside reports from England that Aston Villa are offering him a huge pay increase from his €5-6m in Dortmund to at least €8.5m in Birmingham.
The belief is that the talks between Malen, Dortmund and Villa could soon 'be entering the home stretch' and the signing has very much been approved by Unai Emery. Malen is his 'preferred candidate' to strengthen his squad this month. Malen also wants to play in the Premier League.
It's all a matter of the two clubs finding an agreement on the transfer fee, something Aston Villa are edging closer to doing.
