Ezri Konsa’s reaction said it all.

As Aston Villa’s players lined up ahead of their do-or-die Champions League quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain, supporters at Villa Park were ready to belt out the iconic Champions League anthem.

However, those same supporters were left in equal parts disappointed and surprised when, instead of the Champions League anthem being played, the Europa League song was blared out instead.

The error was certainly not lost on the players.

As the cameraman made their way down Villa’s playing line-up, it caught Konsa with an all-time reaction.

The England international facepalmed and shook his head in utter disbelief at the error.

Although Villa’s supporters, like Konsa, were left miffed, several fans took delight in sticking the boot in.

talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara was one of them as he took a swipe at Villa great Gabby Agbonalhor: “Aston Villa playing the Europa League theme tune is amazing, sums you lot up Gabz.”

While another fan said: “How embarrassing. Villa Park playing the Europa League music rather than the Champions League music.”
