'Aston Villa to complete Axel Disasi panic-buy' - Fans explode at transfer news

Aston Villa supporters have taken to social media to voice their opinions following reports of a possible move for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi.
Football Insider revealed on 25 January that Unai Emery's side are exploring a loan deal for the French centre-back. Villa are seeking to bolster their defensive options after Diego Carlos departed earlier this window for Fenerbahce.
Adding to the speculation, Fabrizio Romano reported that personal terms have already been agreed between Disasi and Villa.
However, Aston Villa fans are far from thrilled by the prospect of signing the Chelsea outcast with many claiming it a “panic” signing.

Disasi joined Chelsea for £38.8 million in 2023 [Sky Sports] on a six-year deal but has fallen down the pecking order under Enzo Maresca.
The French defender has featured just six times in the Premier League, with his last start coming on 30 December. Since then, Maresca has brought Trevoh Chalobah back from his loan at Crystal Palace, further sidelining Disasi and raising doubts about his future at the club.
Emery is prioritising the signing of a centre-back this transfer window to strengthen the defence as they push for a Champions League spot once again. Disasi, who was linked with Newcastle over the summer, is now reportedly a serious target for Villa.
Their defensive concerns deepened during the 1-1 draw against West Ham on Sunday (26 January) when Tyrone Mings exited the pitch in tears after suffering a knee injury. The Englishman has since took to social media to address any fans concern.
However, Villa supporters have voiced their frustration online over the potential transfer of Disasi coming in. One supporter called the move "awful" and suggested the club "should've kept Carlos" while another echoed similar concerns, saying, "We have replaced Carlos with a worse player?"
