Ancelotti will meet with the club following the Copa del Rey final on April 26.

The Italian could leave at the end of the campaign or following the Club World Cup this summer.

Jurgen Klopp had also been linked with succeeding him but has never been a candidate for Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti is the leading candidate to become the new Brazil boss.

More to follow.
