Bayern Munich are watching Chelsea’s loan star Andrey Santos as he continues to star with Strasbourg in Ligue 1.
The Brazilian joined the Blues as a fresh-faced wonderkid from Brazilian outfit Vasco da Gama in January 2023, for a fee of £18million [ESPN].
Following a spell on loan at Nottingham Forest, in which he made just two appearances, Santos was recalled from his loan with the Tricky Trees.
After struggling in the Midlands, the Brazilian joined Strasbourg on loan for the latter half of last season, attempting to repair his reputation after a disappointing loan spell.
Having impressed, he re-joined the BlueCo-owned French side for another loan this year and has established himself as one of Ligue 1’s best players, even captaining his team.
As a consequence, interest in Santos has spiked, and with a jam-packed midfield in West London, Bayern are watching the 20-year-old, MailOnline reports.
Bayern Munich and AC Milan keeping eye on Chelsea star Andrey Santos
According to the report, Bayern are maintaining a “watching brief” on the Brazilian midfielder as he continues to impress on loan at Strasbourg.
Chelsea are keen to take a closer look at him this pre-season, with Santos expected to be given a chance to impress at the Club World Cup in the USA this summer by manager Enzo Maresca.
AC Milan are also keeping an eye on his situation, but Bayern are understood to be more “serious” in their appreciation of the 20-year-old.

Football Insider Verdict
Santos has shown in his two stints with Strasbourg that he is simply too good to be farmed out on loan again next year.
In fact, it is apparent the 20-year-old is good enough to be a starting player for most top clubs in Europe.
However, Chelsea are not currently in a position to give the Brazilian the opportunity he deserves.

For all their woes this season, central midfield is arguably the one position in Maresca’s side which isn’t filled with uncertainty heading into the summer transfer window.
Real Madrid target Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo have both been exceptionally reliable for the Italian boss and, due to the huge fees spent on them, are unlikely to be leaving Stamford Bridge anytime soon.
As such, the Blues may be forced to cash in on their young star, and with financial issues plaguing Chelsea, they may be left with little choice.
