Brentford moving to offer 'significant figures' for player – Looks an acceptable offer

Since last summer, Brentford have been repeatedly been mentioned as a suitor for Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode.
Brighton and Hove Albion have also been linked with a move for the Italian, but it now seems as if the Bees are the likelier candidate to land the youngster, who has played only 124 minutes in the Serie A this season.
Corriere Fiorentino, as relayed by LabaroViola, have reported today that Brentford are willing to offer Fiorentina an initial loan deal with the option to buy for €18m.
These have been described as 'significant figures'. Even if there is now interest from Ajax, the London club’s offer could convince La Viola. The money on offer can also help them sign some other players this month.
At the same time, Tuttomercatoweb have also reported that Brentford are in pole position to sign the 20-year-old.
They believe that talks are ongoing and work is being done on a deal that will be a loan with the option to buy for €17m. That amount is quite close to what Corriere Fiorentino also suggested and there is an indication that Fiorentina would accept an offer of that amount.
TMW are confident that Kayode will end up in England and that the next few hours should decide the fullback’s fate.
