Brentford star set to sign massive new deal – Snub to interested clubs

Mikkel Damsgaard is set to sign a new and improved contract at Brentford, worth around £180,000 per week.
That's according to Tipsbladet, who report that he's now earning a minimum salary of DKK 250m until 2030.
The outlet reports that Damsgaard is set to become one of the biggest earning Danish stars thanks to his new deal with Brentford.
He's 'one of the rare ones' who can say he's earning a guaranteed minimum salary of DKK 250m, with a 'completely insane' contract currently on the table from Brentford.
Damsgaard is set to earn DKK 250m over the next five years, with only signatures remaining of the 'gold-edged contract'. The deal will make him the highest-paid player at Brentford and indeed it would at a number of Premier League clubs.
Tipsbladet tried to get comments from Damsgaard's agent Jens Ørgaard from the agency BTAM but were unsuccessful despite several attempts. They've received a similar response from Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
Either way, they're confident the deal is happening and Damsgaard will become one of the Denmark's richest footballers.
The contract comes when Damsgaard finds himself linked with a move away. Arsenal have been credited with an interest this month. Indeed, he has even been asked about it directly.
The new deal is seen as a snub from Brentford to the many suitors who are after Damsgaard, even if it is a very expensive one.
