Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for striker Stefanos Tzimas. Interest from Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion has also emerged for the youngster.
Tuttomercatoweb have looked at the teenager’s situation in detail, revealing that many insiders in the game are 'crazy' about the 19-year-old, who has scored eight times in the Bundesliga this season for Nurnberg.
Currently on loan from Greek side PAOK, Tzimas has attracted many clubs across Europe. There is interest from Serie A but Brighton and Aston Villa have 'asked for information' about the teenager.
Arsenal and Manchester United are also monitoring Tzimas but the Greece U21s star’s situation is quite interesting.
Nurnberg have the option to buy him permanently for a fee of €18m. As of now, the German club do not have the finances available for that.
They have found a way around that problem and that is why they will agree to sell Tzimas beforehand. Brighton and Aston Villa will have to pay a fee of around €24m to sign the youngster.
Nurnberg will use that funds to sign Tzimas permanently and will also make a capital gain from his sale.
If no club comes forward for the striker, he will go back to PAOK and then be sold on.
