Brighton player going through 'extremely difficult situation' – Has 'fallen out' of manager's plans

Valentin Barco arrived at Brighton in January of this year, following a controversial exit from Boca Juniors, but was unable to force his way into the reckoning for the Premier League side.
Brighton wanted to see him develop into a better player in Spain, and he joined Sevilla in an attempt to gain more first-team experience of playing in Europe.
Things haven’t gone to plan and Estadio Deportivo note that the defender is going through an 'extremely difficult situation' at the Andalusian side.
He’s remained on the bench in three of the last four La Liga games, playing a total of only 277 minutes in the league this season.
The outlet believe that while the Brighton man impressed on his debut, he has 'fallen out' of Sevilla boss Garcia Pimenta’s plans.
The Argentine has been tried and tested at left-back and on the left-wing but his skillset hasn’t impressed Pimenta, who has used other players more often.
There have been multiple windows of opportunity that Barco hasn’t really made the most of. More opportunities will arrive soon but the Seagulls man will have to impress or Brighton could see their talent lose further prominence.
Should the loan fail it will raise questions over Barco’s development and what happens from here, but it will also be yet another example of why loaning players to Sevilla rarely works out well.
