Brighton and Hove Albion scout Bert Konterman has insisted that they don't have Feyenoord midfielder In-Beom Hwang on their list but can't say the same about defender David Hancko.
Feyenoord Pings cover comments from the Brighton scout today, as he continues a busy week of commenting on players in public.
Konterman has already been quoted telling FC Twente star Sam Steijn what to do this summer, which surprisingly wasn't to join Brighton despite them reportedly being interested in him.
Now his attention has turned to Feyenoord, where there are several players who the Seagulls could be interested in as they continue to build for Fabian Hürzeler.
He was specifically asked about two by presenter Tijmen van Wissing and may have given away one potential target.
“He is not on the list," he said when asked about Hwang.
“Hancko is, I assume?” Van Wissing continued. “I won’t comment on that,” responded Konterman. “They are small lists.”
If Hancko was on the list it wouldn't be a surprise, with the defender earning plenty of admirers over the last 18 months thanks to his performances in the Netherlands.
A move to Brighton certainly would be, though, given several big clubs such as Liverpool and Juventus have all been credited with an interest in him.
The Seagulls would do well to tempt him ahead of clubs like that.
