The 22-year-old has been busy during the international break, starting for the Netherlands in both Nations League matches against Spain, despite the disappointing penalty shootout loss.
Verbruggen has firmly established himself as Brighton’s first-choice keeper this season, impressing with six clean sheets in the Premier League.
His standout performances have not gone unnoticed, with Chelsea showing interest in Verbruggen, as they look to resolve their own goalkeeping problems. However, a new challenger has entered the race, and the reported transfer fee has left Brighton fans pushing for a sale.

Bayern Munich set to bid for £60 million-rated Bart Verbruggen
Mike McGrath of The Telegraph reported that Bayern Munich are "preparing to make a bid for £60 million-rated" Verbruggen this summer.
He revealed that the German club have been "monitoring his stunning progress" as they look to find a long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer.
He signed for Brighton from Anderlecht two years ago for £16 million and is now the undisputed top option at the Amex.
Initially competing with Jason Steele for the starting role, Verbruggen has started 27 Premier League matches but has faced a leaky defence, with Brighton conceding 41 goals this term.
Despite these defensive challenges, his impressive form continues to attract attention, and it appears Bayern are the latest club keen to bring him to the Bundesliga.
Brighton fans urge club to sell Bart Verbruggen amid Bayern interest
The 7-0 loss to Nottingham Forest earlier in the season sparked outrage among supporters, with many Brighton fans calling for manager Hurzeler to be sacked.
However, the team has since enjoyed a remarkable turnaround, securing six wins in their last seven games across all competitions.
The Seagulls now have the opportunity to seek revenge against Forest in the FA Cup on 29 March. Manager Hurzeler will be hoping that Verbruggen can maintain his focus amidst the speculation surrounding his future.
Brighton are well-known for making significant profits from player sales, and it seems the Dutch goalkeeper could be next in line.
Fans have been stunned by the £60million figure being reported, with one supporter saying, “Yeah, I'll take £60m in a heartbeat” and another adding, “I love Bart, but 60 or more would be outrageous for a keeper, 100% sell in that case.”
