Bruno Fernandes directed a post towards Leny Yoro after his performance in Man United's comeback victory against Lyon.

Man United pulled off a dramatic late turnaround on 17 April, scoring three goals in the space of seven extra-time minutes to seal their place in the Europa League semi-finals.

Fernandes was brilliant for Man United, offering constant attacking impetus in what has been a flat forward line under Ruben Amorim this season.

Yoro also impressed on the night, with his defensive contributions standing out during key phases of the game. Fernandes highlighted the young defender's impact in a post after the match, showing his appreciation for the defender’s efforts following the win.

Malick Fofana caused United plenty of problems down the left flank, but one of his most threatening efforts was denied in unusual fashion–thanks to a brave block from Yoro.

After slipping in the box, Yoro managed to stop Fofana's shot with his head, an unorthodox but effective piece of defending that drew praise from Fernandes.

The United captain reposted the moment on his Instagram story, captioning it "Yoro's commitment" alongside a heart-eyes emoji, making it clear he was impressed with the youngster's determination during a high-pressure match.

Yoro and Fernandes are often active on social media, and their mutual respect was evident after a hard-fought win.

Fernandes has been one of the few consistent performers for United this season, with 17 goals and 18 assists in all competitions–nine of which have come in the Europa League alone.

Ruben Amorim trusts Bruno Fernandes amid speculation over future continues

There have already been suggestions that Fernandes could leave Man United in the summer, especially following the club-wide wage cuts triggered by United's failure to qualify for the Champions League last season.

Despite links with Real Madrid, Football Insider revealed that Man United currently have no major concerns about Fernandes' future.

The midfielder is under contract until June 2027, with United also holding the option to extend that by another year, putting them in a strong negotiating position.

With the team languishing in 13th place in the Premier League, United's hopes of European football now rest on success in the Europa League. Amorim will be counting on his captain to keep delivering the kind of performances that could lead them to silverware.
