Arsenal are currently in fine form, having made good progress in each of the three competitions they're currently playing in ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Leicester City.

The Gunners are flying high in the Premier League as they triumphed in the North London derby win and then drew at Manchester City.

Arsenal are also up and running in the Champions League with their point at Atalanta and reached the fourth round of the League Cup after hammering Bolton Wanderers in midweek.

The Gunners will host Steve Cooper’s Foxes on Saturday afternoon, and they’ll be eager to build on their recent results and remain unbeaten for the whole of September.

Leicester have drawn both of their Premier League games so far this month, against Crystal Palace and Everton, and overcame Walsall on penalties in the League Cup.

Alan Shearer has now given his verdict on the game, predicting who’ll emerge triumphant at the Emirates Stadium.

Alan Shearer backs Arsenal for convincing home win against Leicester

Shearer, writing on Metro, can’t see anything but an Arsenal win, expecting them to be more progressive than they were against Pep Guardiola’s side.

He wrote: “I can't see Arsenal being as defensive in this one as they were for the second half at the Etihad!

“It'd be a huge surprise if Leicester took a point back. I can't see it happening with the form that Arsenal are in and the confidence and belief they'll take from last week's result.

“I won't go with anything crazy, I just see a convincing home win.”
