Cole Palmer has been Chelsea's standout performer since his arrival, but concerns are beginning to surface over his recent dip in form.
The 22-year-old has gone without a goal or assist since 14 January, marking his toughest spell at Stamford Bridge so far.
While criticism has been directed at Palmer’s performances, there is also growing speculation about his long-term future at the club, given Chelsea's struggles for consistency this season.
Paul Merson has warned that Chelsea could be at risk of losing Palmer in the summer transfer window, especially with the team's inconsistent form under Enzo Maresca.
However, Mick Brown, former Manchester United chief scout, exclusively told Football Insider that Palmer intends to stay at Chelsea beyond this season.
Despite this, former Arsenal defender and pundit Martin Keown has weighed in on the situation.
Cole Palmer 'questioning Chelsea future' claims Martin Keown
Discussing Chelsea's current struggles on TNT Sports' The Breakdown, Keown suggested that Palmer may already be reconsidering his decision to join the club.
He said: "Cole Palmer is probably wondering, 'Hold on, what have I really signed for?' I could see him leaving that football club in the next couple of years.”
Some Chelsea fans have questioned how Palmer is being utilised under Maresca, but the idea of him leaving still seems far-fetched.
The Englishman carried his incredible form from last season into this campaign, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists. However, he has now gone 10 games without a direct goal contribution.
Palmer has reassured Chelsea fans that he "will be back" addressing his dip in form, but his struggles have sparked debates among pundits over his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea fans dismiss Keown's claims amid Cole Palmer exit rumours
Palmer remains under contract at Chelsea until 2033, meaning any potential departure would require an extraordinary transfer fee. Despite Keown's comments, the 22-year-old has no plans to leave.
Chelsea supporters have largely dismissed the speculation, with many finding Keown's claims laughable.
One fan responded: "Clowns, they love pushing negativity every now and then" while another added: "In your dreams, I guess."
