Chelsea fans have slammed Cole Palmer for his “horrible” performance in their Premier League clash v Everton at Goodison Park.

Enzo Maresca’s side limped to a frustrating 0-0 draw on a day where their star players failed to turn up while Everton defended bravely.

Amid plenty of frustration from the result, the manager’s decision to leave Palmer on the pitch for the full 90 minutes was questioned by the travelling support.

The 22-year-old was criticised for his lack of impact on the game, with many calling for the likes of Joao Felix to be introduced in his place.

Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku replaced Pedro Neto and Nicolas Jackson, but fans insisted Palmer should have made way for Felix, who remained an unused substitute.

Palmer completed three key passes in the game, but failed to hit the target with any of his shots while losing possession 19 times and completing just 20 passes. [Sofascore]

As a result, supporters have claimed he should not be immune from being taken off, despite his ability to flip a game on its head by himself.

So far this season, Palmer has recorded 11 goals and six assists in 18 Premier League games and has once again proved himself as one of the best players in the division.

However, Maresca’s insistence on leaving him on the pitch for 90 minutes even on an off day has become a point of contention for Chelsea fans.

Following the 0-0 draw, many supporters took to social media to express their frustration as Palamer was labelled “shocking” and “absolutely terrible”.
