Chelsea havegone into the final international break of the year sitting in third place and joint on points with Arsenal.

Given what Chelsea fans have been treated to over recent seasons, this start to the season will certainly be providing them with a considerable amount of optimism.

Despite being on the same number of points, there may not quite be the same level of hope around Arsenal with the Gunners well off the pace in the title race.

Mikel Arteta’s side are already nine points adrift of the league leaders with 11 games now under their belt in the league.

The Gunners have experienced some issues with injuries and suspensions but have just seen Martin Odegaard return from injury.

However, there is one former Arsenal player which Didier Drogba will be glad is still not playing in north London after he said just how good he was.

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba says just how good Arsenal’s Thierry Henry was

When thinking about the real legends of the Premier League, two strikers who will immediately come to mind is Drogba and Thierry Henry.

The pair have etched their names in Premier League history with the goals they scored and the trophies they won.

And in a recent social media game, Drogba was tasked with choosing between a number of the best Premier League strikers.

Having stuck with his teammate Fernando Torres against the likes of Wayne Rooney and Erling Haaland, Drogba came unstuck when Henry’s name was said.

“I will always stick with my teammate,” said Drogba until Henry’s name was said which forced the Ivory Coast legend to change his game plan.

“Thierry is different, so Thierry, yes,” Drogba added.

With the two current sides settling for a draw on the weekend, Henry has shared his concerns for Arsenal’s title hopes.

How many Premier League goals did Thierry Henry score

Both Henry and Drogba have ended their careers with stunning returns across all competitions but it is in the Premier League where the pair really shone.

The two strikers offered kids across the world figures to look up to with Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori idolising Henry when he was a youngster.

And it is no surprise when the Frenchman provided the Gunners with such an incredible return in front of goal.

There will always be a debate as to who was the best Premier League striker with Peter Crouch saying Henry was better than Alan Shearer.

And it seems as if Drogba could well agree with that given his reaction to hearing Henry’s name.
