Despite being one of the busiest teams in the transfer window over the past few years, it seems likely that there will be more incoming and outgoings at Chelsea this month.

Chelsea’s move for Marc Guehi is in the works, with Enzo Maresca’s side looking to make an early move to sign him from Crystal Palace this January.

Chelsea’s interest in Abdukodir Khusanov has been reported as well, who has established himself as one of the most talented young centre-backs in Ligue 1 during his spell at RC Lens. Chelsea’s keenness on Omar Marmoush has also been speculated.

In the striker position, Chelsea are eyeing Evan Ferguson on a loan deal as well.

Enzo Maresca will be hoping that the Blues remain active in the winter window, both from a signing and selling perspective.

Chelsea have made excellent progress under Maresca’s guidance and they cannot afford to slip up in their race for top four and their overarching progression as a footballing project.

Chelsea snub £10 million bid for Cesare Casadei from Torino

The 21-year-old, who was on loan at Leicester City last season was expected to thrive upon his return to SW6. However, the Italian has made a total of four starts in all competitions this campaign.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that Chelsea have rejected a £10 million bid from Torino to sell Casadei.

Jacobs has claimed that the former Inter Milan midfielder has several suitors lining up for his signature.

However, Chelsea are hoping to bank more than £15 million as they prepare to sell Casadei.

TBR Football understands that Chelsea’s ideal asking fee is £20 million.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is a fan of Torino target Cesare Casadei

After Chelsea beat Gent 4-2 in the Conference League, Enzo Maresca sang Casadei’s praises.

The Chelsea boss said via Football.London: “Cesare played very good against Barrow and even better tonight. I am very happy with the way he is playing. I had Cesare last year and he was playing a little bit in different position.”

Enzo Maresca revealed that unlike last season, he decided to change Casadei’s position to that of a defensive midfielder as well.

“This year, we are using him like a holding midfielder. The reason why is because I think we go in the direction where the middle you need physical players. Cesare is very big, physically strong and helps us when we want to press.”

“On the ball, he is improving a lot. Tonight he played one touch, so we are very happy. For him, it's the same as the rest; many things he can do better but he is in the right direction.”

It seems like if Torino cough up the money, Enzo Maresca’s positive endorsement of Casadei will not be deemed sufficient for Chelsea not to part ways with him later this month.
