Wesley Fofana should be sold by Chelsea by following the latest injury update from Enzo Maresca, fans of the club have claimed.

The centre-back moved to Stamford Bridge from Leicester City in the summer of 2022 in a deal worth up to £75million (Sky Sports).

Since then though, the Frenchman has seen his time with the club blighted by a string of major injury issues, in similar fashion to Blues captain Reece James.

Now it seems as though those problems are showing no signs of easing up, leaving some Chelsea fans questioning his future at the club, along with that of the captain.

Since joining the Blues over two years, the 24-year-old Fofana has managed 32 appearances in all competitions for the club.

Chelsea have got more bad news over Wesley Fofana.

Fofana has not featured for Chelsea this season since being forced out of the 3-0 win over Aston Villa at the start of December with a hamstring injury.

Now Maresca has confirmed that there is a chance the centre-back will not feature again this season as a result of that problem (BBC Sport).

The news has not gone down at all well with Chelsea fans though. Taking to social media to react to that update on Fofana, many supporters suggested the time may be right to sell him with injuries restricting his impact for the side, with one insisting there was now “no excuse” not to offload the two blighted defensive stars.
