Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar has been linked with a string of Premier League clubs, with Chelsea, West Ham and Bournemouth all interested in signing him this summer.

Bayern Munich have also been touted as possible suitors for the in-demand goalkeeper, who has become a big part of the first team at Roma.

The 25-year-old signed for the Italian club from Benfica in the summer of 2022 and only played four times in all competitions in his first season.

He has gradually worked his way into his current position as first choice and has turned out 42 times already this season in all competitions.

The Belgium-born Serbia international is under contract with Roma until 2027, but could attract some bids this summer.

Italian publication Corriere della Serra report that Chelsea, West Ham, Bournemouth and Bayern are all keen on the stopper.

The report also states that Svilar could still sign a new deal with Roma, though, as he looks for an improvement on his current terms.

Roma have not met his salary demands as yet and the interested parties may well be quicker to do so, with the report stating the Svilar wants around €4m (£3.4m) per season in a new contract.

The goalkeeper has been linked with a move to the Premier League for over a decade, all the way back to when he was coming through the Anderlecht youth system.

Arsenal were thought to be interested in him then, while Manchester United were linked with him during his spell with Benfica.

Chelsea and Bournemouth are certainly looking to sign a new ‘keeper this summer, with the two sides also linked with a move for Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher.

The Irishman is expected to leave Anfield this summer in search of regular first team football after working as Alisson Becker’s understudy for a number of years.

The Blues have had problems in goal this season as Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen have both failed to impress.

The Cherries have had Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea as their first choice between the sticks, but appear to be looking elsewhere for a permanent option in the next transfer window.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca recently dropped Sanchez but then restored him to the first team, saying that he simply needed a rest.

The former Brighton man has continued to look shaky on his return to the side.

‘Since we start, the idea was not to change goalkeeper – but sometimes you have to modify, you have to be flexible in your idea,’ said Maresca. ‘We do this with the game plan, we do this with the way we want to attack, the way we want to defend, but also we need to be flexible with players.

‘I think Robert needed some days off or at least to rest his head mentally. And now he is back we are hopefully not going to change until the end [of the season], also because I said many times we are quite happy with both goalkeepers.’
