Christoper Nkunku breaks social media silence as Chelsea transfer news confirmed

Chelsea forward Christoper Nkunku has posted on social media for the first time since Enzo Maresca suggested he could ask to leave the club in January.
The 27-year-old has fallen behind Nicolas Jackson in the pecking order at Chelsea, starting just two Premier League games since the start of the season.
Nkunku has been relegated to cup competitions and substitute appearances, starting 11 of his 25 appearances across all competitions, scoring 12 goals, and providing four assists in 1008 minutes of action.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game with Fulham, Maresca confirmed the club want to keep Nkunku.
Maresca said: “We like Christo and we want him here and there will always be players that are not happy. I am not sure if that will be Christo’s case. We want to keep him here because we are happy with him.”
Christopher Nkunku committed to Chelsea amid ongoing exit rumours
Maresca has transformed Chelsea since taking over in the summer, guiding them to second place with ten wins, five draws, two defeats, and 35 points from their 17 games.
Jackson has established himself as one of the Premier League’s best forwards in Nkunku’s absence, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in his 16 starts.
Still, Nkunku appears to be committed to the club, taking to Instagram to share a graphic of himself ahead of their game with Fulham.
Anything other than a win over Fulham would give rivals Arsenal the chance to leapfrog Chelsea into second as they face Ipswich on Friday (December 27).
Chelsea will travel then to Kieran McKenna’s struggling Ipswich side for their last game in December on the 30th to round off their hectic festive period.
In other news, Jadon Sancho responds to Raheem Sterling's message after his omission.
