Brighton are no strangers to making low-key moves where talent can be signed for lesser transfer fees.

Kaoru Mitoma is an example of that, with the Japan international arriving from Kawasaki Frontale in 2021.

Serie A side Napoli could now be willing to follow Brighton’s model and Ultime Calcio Napoli state that Mitoma is someone who they 'like', as they plan to reinforce their recruitment strategies.

Tommaso Bianchini, Chief Revenue Officer, spoke to Corriere dello Sport yesterday and he revealed that Japan could be a potential market for the Partenopei and they would love to have a new 'superhero' from the country.

Brighton's Mitoma is certainly much-adored in his home country and he is also appreciated by the Serie A side, who expanded their market to South Korea when Kim Min-Jae was brought in.

There’s a feeling that the signing of someone like Mitoma can help them capture the Japanese market, even though Brighton’s price tag of the winger is quite high.

Whether Napoli make a move or not remains to be seen it is certain that this could be something they have an eye on.
