On Monday, journalist Sacha Tavolieri stated Crystal Palace are pushing hard to sign Aster Vranckx. He also said the Premier League side are willing to pay the €10m fee demanded by VfL Wolfsburg.

Tuesday's edition of Corriere dello Sport backs up Crystal Palace's interest in the 21-year-old when discussing Fiorentina's chances of securing his services.

The midfielder was on loan at AC Milan during the 2022/23 season, where he clocked in over 300 minutes from 10 games. He made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga last season.

Fiorentina are considering bringing him back to Italy as he's their 'strong objective' for the summer window. They have to battle it out with Crystal Palace as the player has attracted their interest.

It's claimed the Serie A side are 'not financially able' to battle it out with the Eagles for the Belgium international's signature.

Corriere make no mention of any figures, while Tavolieri stated yesterday that Wolfsburg need €10m for Vranckx. Fiorentina's stance would provide Crystal Palace an easy route to sign the midfielder this summer.

Vranckx was part of the Belgium squad who were eliminated from the Euros by France on Monday, and Crystal Palace could now step up their efforts to secure his services.
