Club officials hold talks with Newcastle United over star player – Offer has been presented

There's a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are looking to sign Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton this summer.

Galatasaray have already been busy in this transfer window after confirming the signing of Michy Batshuayi and now they are looking to bring in a central midfielder.

Alain Turkce claim the Newcastle United player is an option for Galatasaray as they look to replace the departed Tanguy Ndombele. It's reported officials from the Istanbul club have met with Newcastle United to discuss the Brazilian's situation.

According to the Turkish media outlet, Galatasaray have presented an offer to the Premier League club which would be to loan the player, with an option to buy. However, it's reported Newcastle United have yet to come back to the Istanbul club with an answer.

Gala have also recently been linked with fellow Premier League midfielders Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. There have been reports Cimbom have held transfer talks for the Tottenham Hotspur pair.

Joelinton made 27 appearances for the Magpies last season, scoring three goals. He's contracted to the club until June 2028 after only recently extending his contract.
