Coleen Rooney shocks I'm A Celebrity campmates with Wayne Rooney proposal confession

I'm A Celebrity is known for its weird and wonderful confessions in camp, but Coleen Rooney's marriage proposal revelation is one of the most surprising.
As the campmates took part in the Letters From Home Challenge, Coleen confessed that husband Wayne, Manchester United‘s record goalscorer, didn't exactly splash the cash when popping the big question.
Instead, the couple, who got engaged when they were just teenagers, had a much more casual experience when Wayne proposed.
Wayne, then 18, proposed to Coleen, then 17, in a petrol station.
The eye-browing raising location didn't go unnoticed by Coleen's campmates who were quick to pump her with questions.
Reverend Richard Coles quizzed Coleen on Wayne's location of choice.
“I knew it was gonna happen but I definitely didn't know it was gonna be in a petrol station," she said.
"But I'm glad we didn't do it in a restaurant to be honest with you. We were only young, so we went back and had corned beef hash instead!”
This isn't Coleen first insightful revealtion into her and Wayne's world.
The day before, the 38-year-old revealed the extent of her luxury Cheshire mansion to campmates.
When fellow campmate Oti Mabuse asked if she had a club in her house, Coleen said: "We have a few bars."
"We have the common bar, where if people come back late we'll have that and we use that for parties because it goes out onto the garden so we can open it up."
Speaking about the other features of her house, she mentioned they had a football pitch and also an underground tunnel ‘that links that to that’.
Wayne and Coleen first got together as teenagers during his first spell at boyhood club Everton.
The couple got engaged aged 18 and 17 before tying the knot in June 2008, with both Wayne and Coleen aged 22 at the time. They share four children – sons Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass.
However, their relationship hasn’t been without its huge challenges, with their courtship being thrust into the spotlight at a tender age, as well as past indiscretions from Wayne receiving a lot of media attention.
While Coleen is away in the Australian jungle, Wayne is continuing his role as Plymouth Argyle boss.
Wayne is currently facing a tough task at The Pilgrims, sitting 21st on the Championship table.
They have won four games out of 18 so far and could have a relegation battle on their hands.
Despite this, Wayne's time as a player was more fruitful.
His career began at Everton, before moving to Man United for £25.6 million in the summer of 2004.
He went on to become Man United's record goalscorer and was the record goalscorer for the England national team from 2015 to 2023.
After 393 appearances for Man United, he returned to Everton, before moving to D.C United and then ending his playing career at Derby County.
