'Completed soon': Liverpool are breaking their wage structure to sign Chelsea youth player - Romano

Liverpool are closing in on signing one of the top rated academy prospects from Chelsea and are willing to spend big to get the deal done.

The Reds are well underway now with the Arne Slot era and are one of a number of clubs being linked with some big money transfers.

However, another aspect of Liverpool’s success in recent times has been their ability to develop from within and produce top young talents.

Recent years have seen the likes of Conor Bradley, Jayden Danns and Curtis Jones all emerge, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is considered one of the biggest success stories ever at Anfield.

And now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are making a swoop on Chelsea to seal the signing of one of the top youngsters in the country.

Romano claims that the deal is expected to be completed soon and that Liverpool are so convinced by Ngumoha that they have broken their youth wage structure to do the deal.

Born in 2008, Ngumoha has already represented England at youth level and is regarded as a star of the future at Chelsea.

Liverpool, then, will be delighted to get this one over the line and get one over on the Blues.

New Reds boss Arne Slot is believed to be a big believer in giving young players a chance and Liverpool are expected to integrate even more youngsters into the ranks this season.

Ngumoha, then, will be hoping to make a big impression and show Slot what he’s all about.
