Dean Huijsen makes 'hurtful' Chelsea confession in new message to fans

Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has admitted it “hurts” not to have left Stamford Bridge with all three points after their 2-2 Premier League draw on Tuesday (January 14).
The 19-year-old played the full 90 minutes in the draw, ending the game with a 100 per cent tackle success rate, making seven recoveries, and four interceptions.
Cole Palmer opened the scoring for the home side in the 13th minute, slotting past Mark Travers in the Bournemouth goal after some fantastic hold-up play from Nicolas Jackson.
Justin Kluivert bagged the equaliser from the penalty spot shortly after half-time thanks to Moises Caicedo’s rash challenge on Antoine Semenyo.
Semenyo gave the visitors the lead in the 68th minute, and Bournemouth looked set to beat their fifth ‘top six’ side this season.
Reece James snatched a point from the jaws of defeat, scoring a free-kick in added time in his first Premier League game back from injury.
Dean Huijsen wise beyond his years as Bournemouth continue upward trajectory
The young centre-back has had a breakout season since joining Bournemouth in the summer, starting 12 of his 17 games across all competitions, popping up with two goals, and providing zero assists in his 1150 minutes of action.
Clearly frustrated by the draw, Huijsen took to Instagram to say: “It hurts to have been so close bringing home the victory, but it’s still an important point in a difficult stadium.”
Bournemouth's draw with Chelsea leaves them just three points away from the Champions League qualification spots.
Andoni Iraola's side will make the long trip to fellow top-four hopefuls Newcastle on Saturday (January 18) as they seek to continue their fine form.
