Arsenal star Declan Rice has taken to social media to celebrate a “win under the lights” after their 1-0 Premier League victory over Ipswich on Friday (December 27).
The 25-year-old played 87 minutes before being replaced by Thomas Partey as Arsenal leapfrogged London rivals Chelsea to go into second.
Ipswich gave the home side an early scare after Leif Davis’ deflected cross came within inches of Sammie Szmodics in the Arsenal box.
Kai Havertz got the only goal of the game just before the half-hour mark, latching onto Leandro Trossard’s low cross to tap the ball into an open net.
Arsenal continued to pile the pressure on Ipswich but were unable to break down their determined defence with the game ending 1-0.

The defensive midfielder has been integral to Mikel Arteta’s plans so far this season, starting 21 of his 22 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing five assists in his 1752 minutes of action.
Rice took to Instagram after the win over Ipswich to share an image and celebrate yet another “win under the lights” at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fans will have to wait until 2025 to see their side play again as they travel across London to face Brentford on New Year's Day (January 1).
Arteta's side have tricky fun of fixtures in January, including games against Man United, Newcastle, and the big one, a North London Derby against arch-rivals Tottenham.
