Raheem Sterling's time at Arsenal hasn't gone as planned, but Declan Rice has shown his support for the winger during a difficult spell.
Sterling arrived at the Emirates last summer on a straight loan from Chelsea, hoping to revive his career after a fallout with his parent club. However, he has struggled to make an impact, failing to impress when given chances out wide.
Arsenal fans have been vocal in their criticism of Sterling, and concerns have also been raised behind the scenes.
Football Insider revealed earlier in the season that some of Arsenal's coaching staff have questioned Sterling's performances in training, with Mikel Arteta left unconvinced.
With Bukayo Saka suffering an injury back in December, there was an expectation for the Chelsea loanee to step up in his absence. Instead, he has made just four Premier League starts all season, with his only goal coming in the EFL Cup against Bolton.

Raheem Sterling to return to Chelsea after disappointing Arsenal loan
Teammate Rice had a message of support for the winger, posting a picture of the two in training with a heart emoji.
Despite the camaraderie between the two, Sterling is expected to return to Chelsea at the end of his loan spell at the Emirates.
Arsenal fans had called for Sterling's loan to be terminated in January, urging the club to replace him with another attacker.
The Gunners had already filled their domestic loan quota with Sterling and Bournemouth's Neto, meaning they were unable to bring in any further loan signings from Premier League clubs.
Arsenal had been linked with Brighton's Evan Ferguson, but with a loan move only possible, West Ham stepped in and secured his signature instead as the North London club decided against terminating the winger’s loan.
Sterling was given more responsibility during Arsenal's injury crisis, with Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus all sidelined during the season. However, the England international failed to take his chance and is now expected to return to Stamford Bridge, where another move likely to be on the cards.
Arsenal to reward Ethan Nwaneri after breakthrough season
While Sterling has struggled, Ethan Nwaneri has stepped up, enjoying a breakout season for Arteta’s side.
The 18-year-old has impressed with eight goals, and Football Insider revealed that the Arsenal are closing in on a new contract for Nwaneri.
With Saka now back in training, it remains to be seen how Nwaneri will fit into the side for the remainder of the campaign. As for Sterling, his minutes are expected to be further reduced before his loan spell comes to an end.
