Enzo Fernandez sends message to Chelsea fans ahead of showdown

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has taken to social media to share a training ground update ahead of their first FA Cup game of the season against Morecambe on Saturday (January 11).
Enzo Maresca’s side will be hoping to bounce back from a four-game winless streak against the League Two side in a tournament they will doubtless expect to go far in.
Two draws and two defeats have seen the West London club tumble from second to fourth, level on points with Eddie Howe’s in-form Newcastle side in fifth.
It remains unclear whether Fernandez, 23, will feature against Morecambe with Maresca implementing a two-squad system since taking over in the summer.
The Italian coach has preferred certain players for certain tournaments, and the World Cup winner has largely featured in Chelsea’s Premier League side.

The central midfielder has seemingly turned a corner at Chelsea, starting 19 of his 24 games across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing eight assists in his 1722 minutes of action.
Fernandez took to Instagram to share an image of himself in the gym, working hard as Chelsea attempt to work through a rough patch of form.
Chelsea still have four games remaining in January, including a game with Pep Guardiola’s seemingly resurgent Man City side.
Maresca’s attention will return to the Premier League after the game with Morecambe, hosting in-form Bournemouth on January 14th.
