Everton are shaping up ahead of their historic move to the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium for the 2025-26 campaign.

The Toffees have all but secured their Premier League status for next season following the appointment of David Moyes earlier this year.

Angus Kinnear – who has spent eight years with Leeds – has also been drafted in as the club’s new CEO, effective from June.

Everton have now announced the appointments of two members of their executive leadership team – with Aaron Duckmanton joining as Chief Marketing & Digital Officer and Simon Hunter joining as Chief Stadium Commercial Officer.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has backed the two arrivals to “make a splash” for the Merseysiders.

‘Everton have got an issue’, says Wyness

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, Wyness claimed Everton – and other clubs – have an “issue” with engaging their worldwide fans.

He insisted the gap between fans and engaged fans is “football’s biggest revenue opportunity”.

Wyness told Football Insider's Inside Track podcast: "Simon Hunter will be the chief revenue officer for the stadium, which is interesting.

"With Bramley-Moore Dock, there will be some huge opportunities to increase revenue. I want to speak to the club about some ideas I have on this.

"It's a good sign in terms of the club wanting to maximise every single pound from the stadium with concerts, stadium tours, matchday, all these things.

"That's good.

"The second one, Aaron Duckmanton, is on the social media side.

"I've never heard of these guys, but I'm sure they are excellent in their field – or the Friedkin Group wouldn't have picked them.

"The social media side is somewhere Everton have done a solid job, but there's room to make a splash.

"I'm keen to see the new innovations. Everton, like most clubs, have got an issue – they claim to have 10 million fans across the world, but only have a database of 200,000.

"There's a massive gap, which is football's biggest revenue opportunity, and that's where these guys have got to do their job."

Everton ready to raid Rangers

Football Insider revealed on 14 March that Everton are plotting a move to sign Rangers star Hamza Igamane in the summer transfer window.

Everton attempted to sign the Moroccan during the January transfer window but were unable to get a deal over the line as Rangers were reluctant to sell.

The Toffees' potential offer is likely to represent a significant profit on the £2.5million paid to sign Igamane in 2024.
