Norwich City are close to finalising a deal with midfielder Emiliano Marcondes and already have everything wrapped up with the free agent.

That's according to Tipsbladet, who report that 'everything is in place' for the 29-year-old to join Norwich after leaving Bournemouth in the summer.

They explain that after reporting on Thursday that Norwich were close to signing Marcondes, a transfer is now 'completely in place'.

Marcondes is set to sign a one-year contract with the Canaries at some point on Friday, which will include an option for a further year.

He's been without a club since the end of June when his contract with Bournemouth came to an end and Norwich had initially refused to make a move unless an 'acute problem' rose in their offensive areas.

That has now happened with injuries to Ashley Barnes and Onel Hernandez and so have moved for Marcondes.

He has a history with Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup after the pair worked together in FC Nordsjælland and Thorup has admitted the pair were in regular contact.

That's now led to a deal being done as Norwich look to cover for recent injuries, with a contract set to be signed at some point today.
