Arsenal are already plotting their January business.

The Gunners are one of the favourites to win the Premier League title this season but many feel they’re missing one key ingredient; a striker.

Since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure in 2022, Arsenal have lacked a prolific number nine and they did try to address that issue in the summer by signing Benjamin Sesko, but that deal failed to materialise.

With that said, TBR Football can provide the latest update on their long-term interest in a striker from the continent.

Arsenal still want Dusan Vlahovic but he’s not been keen on move to England

TBR Football understands Arsenal are admirers of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who they bid for before he joined Juventus.

However, Vlahovic is not at the head of the list, The Gunners have never really believed that he wanted to come to England and it remains to be seen if that has changed.

TBR is told that he is still on their list, but as it stands they are not desperate to bring a striker in January.

We understand Vlahovic won’t move in January, so he will have the season with Thiago Motta and then both sides will assess the situation next summer.

Dusan Vlahovic price tag

If Vlahovic were to become available next summer, it’s thought a bid of around £66m would be sufficient to land his signature.

Arsenal are also interested in Lille striker Jonathan David, who is available for a considerably cheaper price at around £20m.

David is out of contract next summer, so Lille will want to avoid risking losing him on a free transfer.
