Arsenal have banked around £100million after reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League side blew Real Madrid away in the quarter-finals, with their 2-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday (16 April) securing a 5-1 win on aggregate.

Mikel Arteta's side will now take on PSG for a place in the final after they squeezed past Aston Villa in the quarter-finals.

The north London giants will host the French champions in the first leg on 29 April before making the trip to Paris on 7 May, with Barcelona and Inter Milan going head-to-head on the other side of the draw.

Football Insider revealed on 30 January Arsenal landed a £75million windfall after finishing third in the revamped league phase of the Champions League.

The Gunners then beat PSV Eindhoven 9-3 on aggregate in their last-16 clash, setting up the showdown with Real Madrid.

Arsenal get extra £12m after stunning twist

As per official Uefa documents, each team will earn a guaranteed £15.6million for playing in the Champions League this season.

They will then be in line for extra cash payments under the governing body's new value pillar system, which is split into European and non-European segments based on their coefficient ranking and the market pool.

Clubs were awarded £1.8million for each win and £600,000 for a draw in the league phase, meaning Arsenal banked around £11.4million following their six victories and a draw.

They also received £9.4million for qualifying automatically for the last 16 as well as £1.7million for finishing in the top eight.

The 36 clubs competing in the Champions League this season will also be paid an additional amount based on their individual ranking in the league phase.

Bottom of the table Young Boys earned £236,000, while Arsenal's third-place finish landed them £8million.

The Gunners banked £10.7million for their last-16 victory over PSV and a further £12.9million after overcoming Real Madrid to reach the semi-finals.

Sources have told Football Insider Arsenal's total prize money currently stands at around £99.3million, including the payments from the value pillar system.
