The Serie A side are planning to do all they can to keep hold of Thuram beyond the summer window as he remains a key part of their plans for the future.
A regular France international, the striker has enjoyed an impressive season under Simone Inzaghi as his side are on course to win a 21st Scudetto.
As a result, his displays have attracted interest from the Premier League’s leading clubs as they look to bolster their options this summer.
Alongside Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, a number of European sides are also said to have been placed on alert by his release clause despite Inter’s despite to renew his terms.

Liverpool plot move to sign Marcus Thuram after Nunez latest
Arne Slot’s side’s interest in Thuram has emerged after Football Insider revealed Liverpool are open to offers for Darwin Nunez, who does not feature in their future plans.
The 25-year-old has had another frustrating season in which he has scored seven goals and provided seven assists across 39 appearances in all competitions.
As a result, the manager is planning to recruit a more consistent goalscorer to lead the line, and Thuram has emerged as one of the leading candidates for the role.
Arsenal have also been attempting to recruit a new striker in the last two windows, and have been heavily linked with a move to sign RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are planning to sign competition for Nicolas Jackson after his lengthy injury absence left them without a reliable centre-forward for a long spell.
Alexander Isak emerges as first-choice option for Arne Slot
Following the Reds’ decision to allow Nunez to leave the club this summer, they have turned their attention to signing a new striker.
Football Insider revealed on 16 Februaury that Liverpool want to sign Alexander Isak this summer as they view him as the perfect fit for Slot’s side.
Liverpool believe the Sweden international fuses the physicality, movement and speed of Nunez with the finishing and nous of Diogo Jota – who has also been linked with an exit.
However, there are concerns that Newcastle’s price tag may put Liverpool off of making a move this summer as they could demand as much as £150million.
