Exclusive: Aston Villa exploring move to sign Chelsea 26-yr-old

Aston Villa are exploring a loan move for Axel Disasi from Chelsea in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Unai Emery is keen to bring in a new defender this month having sold Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce which has left them short at the back.
Disasi has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and has only played six times in the Premier League this season, with his last start taking place on 30 December.
However, since then Enzo Maresca has opted to recall Trevoh Chalobah from his season-long loan at Crystal Palace which has led to question marks over Disasi's future at the club.
The 26-year-old is under contract with the Blues until 2029, but Villa could offer him some regular game time for the remainder of this season.
Disasi boasts plenty of Premier League experience having made 37 appearances, while he has also played in various European competitions throughout his career.
Disasi had previously been linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge, and a loan move could be something the Blues would consider.
Aston Villa want defensive reinforcements
Signing a new centre back is seen as a priority for Villa this month as Emery wants to strengthen his options as they attempt to secure Champions League football.
The England international is seen as a "perfect fit" into Villa's squad in the eyes of Emery and is another option being considered.
Villa have struggled defensively this season in comparison to other teams who are pushing for European football.
Emery's side have conceded 34 goals so far, which is more than any other team in the top half of the Premier League.
