Chelsea are enjoying life under Enzo Maresca.

When Maresca was first appointed by Chelsea, there was widespread criticism by high-profile figures in the media.

Many couldn’t fathom why they’d replace Mauricio Pochettino with the former Leicester City boss, but so far, he’s silencing those doubters.

The West Londoners reside third in the Premier League and look well-placed to return to the illustrious Champions League.

Maresca has managed to gel the squad together and he’s improved a number of players who perhaps weren’t showing that same level under the previous regime.

With that said, TBR can now exclusively reveal that Chelsea are planning to offer a pay rise to two players who’ve really impressed so far this term.

Chelsea to offer pay rise to Malo Gusto

TBR Football understands that Chelsea intend on holding talks with Malo Gusto.

The vast majority of Chelesa's squad are tied down to long-term contracts and in theory would not be in line for fresh deals.

However, TBR Football understands that Chelsea's footballing hierarchy are ready and willing to reward progress.

And there are a number of players who have impressed since arriving – indeed we saw Cole Palmer handed fresh terms less than a year after he moved to Stamford Bridge earlier this year.

Gusto has been excellent for Chelsea since arriving in January 2023 proving crucial in both full-back positions and he has emerged as an important member of Enzo Maresca's squad.

Now Gusto is one who Chelsea are looking to engage in talks early in 2025.

Chelsea also willing to offer Noni Madueke new deal

Another who has impressed Chelsea's top brass – especially this season is Noni Madueke, despite the huge competition he has for his place. He has started 10 league games already and has also cemented himself in England's squad.

Like with Gusto, Madueke is contracted to Chelsea to 2030 following his switch from PSV Eindhoven in 2023.

Neither are amongst Chelsea's highest earners and although the club are keeping constraints on certain spending, they are prepared to look at uptakes for both players.
