Exclusive: Crystal Palace and Wolves race to sign Doekhi

Crystal Palace and Wolves are plotting moves for Dutch defender Danilho Doekhi before the close of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Premier League duo Palace and Wolves are both keen to strengthen their centre-back options and Union Berlin stopper Doekhi is high on their list of targets.
Doekhi, 26, is into the final six months of his contract at Union and the German club could be forced into selling him before Monday's deadline rather than risk allowing him to run down on his contract.
Oliver Glasner is said to be a huge admirer of the defender, having faced him multiple times during his time in charge of Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Current Palace captain Marc Guehi has just 18 months remaining on his current contract and is “more than likely” to leave according to one Sky Sports pundit.

Doekhi remains a key player for Union Berlin despite his contract situation, starting all 21 of his games across all competitions, popping up with one goal, and providing zero assists in his 1890 minutes of action.
Vitor Pereira's side have already entered the market for a central defender this month, signing Emmanuel Agbadou from French side Stade Reims.
Palace have managed to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone after a dismal first half of the season, while Wolves continue to languish in the bottom three.
Glasner’s side will travel to Ruben Amorim’s struggling Man United on Sunday (February 2) while Wolves face local rivals Aston Villa on Saturday (February 1).
