Exclusive: Hull City in advanced talks to cash in after Oxford Utd bid

Oxford United have made a bid for Hull City winger Ryan Longman, sources have told Football Insider.
Longman first joined the Tigers in the summer of 2021 when he arrived on loan from Premier League side Brighton.
As things stand, Longman is set to be out of contract at the MKM Stadium at the end of this season.
Hull are therefore open to cashing in on the winger and Football Insider understands they are in advanced talks with Championship rivals Oxford about a sale of the 24-year-old.

The winger made that move permanent in January 2022, and has now made a total of 82 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring eight goals and providing five assists (Transfermarkt).
He also spent a spell on loan with Millwall during the 2023/24 season, and now looks set to leave Hull City on a permanent basis.
The Tigers, who recently appointed Ruben Selles as their new manager are also looking to be active in the transfer window themselves in January.
Football Insiderrecently revealed that they have made a move to sign striker Bobby Wales from Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.
Hull are also understood to be interested in forward Harvey Knibbs at League One outfit Reading, as they look avoid relegation. They are currently inside the relegation zone on goal difference.
Oxford meanwhile have already made two signings this month, with Alex Matos joining on loan from Chelsea and Ole Romeny moving permanently from Dutch side Utrecht.
Following their promotion from League One last season, the U’s are looking to stay clear of the Championship’s bottom three, and recently brought in Gary Rowett as their new manager.
In other news, Hull City were unfortunate with one key decision in their FA Cup defeat to Doncaster Rovers, it has been claimed.
