Tooting & Mitcham play in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South – the ninth tier of English football – and sit bottom of the table.

Meanwhile, Hull are 19th in the Championship – and have pulled three points clear of the drop zone with eight games left to play.

The Tigers were 22nd in the table when Ruben Selles succeeded Tim Walter in December 2024.

Selles’ side currently have the likes of Joe Gelhardt, Joao Pedro, Mason Burstow and Kyle Joseph to call on up front.

Leeds striker Gelhardt is among the forwards on the books at Hull this season.

Crystal Palace want Championship star

Meanwhile in the Championship, Football Insider has revealed (18 March) that Crystal Palace are plotting a move to sign Middlesbrough star Hayden Hackney this summer.

The Eagles have had scouts regularly in attendance at the Riverside Stadium throughout the season to keep tabs on the 22-year-old's progress.

Palace have an impressive record when recruiting from the Championship and have seen success with the likes of Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton in the past.
