Exclusive: Newcastle make Sandro Tonali transfer decision

Newcastle United will not entertain offers for Sandro Tonali this summer despite growing interest, sources have told Football Insider.
Barcelona are the latest side to show an interest in the 24-year-old but a deal is considered extremely unlikely to take place this summer.
The Spanish giants will struggle to afford the deal given their ongoing financial issues, as the Magpies will demand a huge fee to even entertain talks over his future.
Tonali, meanwhile, is not interested in leaving St James’ Park at this stage after establishing himself as a key part of Eddie Howe’s starting XI.
He is believed to be happy at Newcastle and is also keen to repay them after their support during his year-long ban for breaching the FA’s betting rules.
Eddie Howe makes Sandro Tonali exit decision at Newcastle
Following their Carabao Cup success, Howe is hopeful that the board will back him to improve his squad this summer and is already putting plans in place for the summer.
Meanwhile, the boss plans to hold on to his best players as they aim to build upon their success and establish themselves as regular European contenders.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 19 March that Newcastle are confident of keeping Bruno Guimaraes despite growing interest from Arsenal.
Guimaraes, Tonali and Joelinton have made up one of the Premier League’s most formidable midfield trios this season, and the Magpies are determined to keep them together.
Marc Guehi latest emerges as Crystal Palace asking price named
As Howe eyes potential improvements to his squad, one key area of focus is at centre-back, where Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi remains a top target.
Football Insider revealed on 21 March that Palace will accept £50-60million offers for Guehi this summer as he will have just 12 months remaining on his contract.
This comes after the Magpies saw a £70million bid rejected in the closing stages of last summer’s transfer window, while Spurs’ offer of the same value was turned down in January.
However, he still ranks highly on Newcastle’s list of targets and is considered likely to leave Crystal Palace when the window opens.
