TBR Football can exclusively reveal that scouts from Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United were dispatched to a Friday night game to watch a £58million striker in action.
With the January transfer window now on the horizon, Premier League clubs will soon have the opportunity to strengthen their ranks and improve their chances of silverware.
Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all have high hopes for the season and there’s certainly scope for them to bring in some high-quality new recruits.
Said player already has 11 goals this season, with his latest coming against his league’s biggest club.
Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United scouts watch Benjamin Sesko against Bayern Munich
TBR Football correspondent Graeme Bailey can reveal that Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United were all in attendance to see Benjamin Sesko score against Bayern Munich on Friday night.
We understand more than 20 clubs were in Munich to witness Bayern demolish RB Leipzig 5-1.
TBR Football sources confirm that Arsenal, City and United were at the Allianz Arena and the centre of their attention was Sesko.
In addition, Jamal Musiala – who was also on the scoresheet – is a player all three Premier League clubs are keeping close tabs on.
Sesko scored in the second minute, after Musiala put Bayern ahead in the opening 60 seconds.
Indeed, Alphonso Davies, Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich – all linked with Premier League moves in 2025 – also found the back of the net.
Sesko factfile
Sesko has long been a target for the Premier League, but he quickly ended speculation over a move in the summer of 2024 by penning a new contract in June.
This hasn’t deterred clubs from still monitoring Sesko, however. For instance, Arsenal scouted Sesko in October.
As per Sky Sports Germany, it is believed that Sesko has a gentleman’s agreement with Leipzig which would see the club consider offers in the region of €70-75million (£58-62million).
The Slovenia striker already has 11 goals and three assists to his name for RB Leipzig this season, while his overall tally reads 65 appearances, 29 goals and five assists.
At just 21 years of age, Sesko is not only world-class already but he has his whole career ahead of him and has a high ceiling.
Leipzig technical director Christopher Vivell previously said, as per the Bundesliga website: “Benjamin Sesko is among the game's top young talents and has enormous potential to become a top player.
He has all the qualities to do that. He's extremely quick, has a great jump on him and is strong in the air.
“Benjamin is a real goalscorer, who despite his 1.95m (6’4″ height) is mobile and technically strong. His abilities make him a special player with a special profile.”
