Exclusive: The three Premier League clubs who Tottenham beat to sign Antonin Kinsky as deal announced

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Tottenham Hotspur beat three Premier League clubs to the signing of Antonin Kinsky.

The North London club will be hoping that the Czech Republic youth international will be the first of several new additions this month.

Ange Postecoglou’s squad has been decimated by injuries and goalkeeper was an area they desperately needed to address.

Following the arrival of Kinsky, they now have an exciting up-and-coming shot-stopper, however, Johan Lange had to see off some strong competition for his signature.

Tottenham see off competition to sign Antonin Kinsky

Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford and Celtic had all shown an interest in signing Antonin Kinsky before completing his move to Tottenham, sources have told TBR Football's chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.

The Lilywhites managed to pull off a £12.5 million deal to bring in the 21-year-old from Slavia Prague and finally secure competition for the number one jersey.

The North London club were in desperate need of a goalkeeper given Guglielmo Vicario is expected to be sidelined until the end of February.

TBR Football understands that the goalkeeper felt that Tottenham was his best option and Kinsky revealed how a chat with Ange Postecoglou convinced him to join.

The only issue facing the Lilywhites and the 21-year-old is that he will be unable to play in the Europa League given the fact he has already played in the competition with Prague.
