Tottenham are still not giving up in the race to sign French striker Randal Kolo Muani, TBR Football understands.
Muani has emerged as a target for Tottenham in January as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.
Tottenham are believed to have told Muani he’ll play a key role in them going forward into the future and they were hoping to wrap a deal up quickly.
But suggestions from Italy now claim that Muani has agreed terms with Juventus as he looks to secure his future.
However, TBR Football understands that is not entirely the case just yet when it comes to Muani.
Tottenham still pushing for Randal Kolo Muani despite Juventus interest
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can reveal that Juventus insist they’ve not yet won the race for Muani and they acknowledge he is still talking to others.
Furthermore, while Muani has said he would move to Juventus, Tottenham and others are not out of the picture yet.
TBR Football understands Spurs are still indeed pushing to try and sign the Frenchman while there are others clubs who admire Muani as well.
However, as it stands, it is Spurs and Juventus are the two most advanced in terms of discussions with PSG.
Spurs looking at other forwards as well as Muani
With such a fluent January transfer window, it’s vital that Tottenham have more than one option and it seems to be the case this time around.
Spurs are also looking at Lille’s Jonathan David as they seek further additions to the squad.
David has long been a target for Premier League clubs and with his contract ticking down in France, there’s a bigger chance than ever that he might make the move over.
As for Muani, it could come down to who offers the most attractive package and guarantee of minutes.
