TBR Football can exclusively reveal that AC Milan are hopeful of winning the race to sign Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker this month.
AC Milan have held talks to sign Walker, as previously confirmed by TBR Football as the 34-year-old may well have played his last game as a City player in his side’s recent 4-1 win against West Ham United.
TBR Football revealed that Walker had decided to stay in Europe despite interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Walker wishes to play abroad and the Serie A is set to be his next destination after what has been a remarkable career in the Premier League — winning six titles amongst various other trophies.

AC Milan plan to sign Kyle Walker by next week
Graeme Bailey — TBR Football’s chief correspondent has been informed that AC Milan plan to complete a deal to sign Kyle Walker by early next week.
Milan hope to strike a deal to sign Walker, whose form has been criticised this weekend.
TBR Football have been told while AC Milan were interested in Marcus Rashford, they have backed away from a deal to sign the Manchester United winger and are instead prioritising the 34-year-old’s arrival.
TBR Football have been notified that the decorated defender has agreed contract terms with AC Milan until 2027, who intends to head to the Serie A club as he feels it will boost his chances of playing at the 2026 World Cup.
As things stand, Manchester City are in talks to terminate Walker’s contract by mutual consent.
The former Tottenham Hotspur speedster’s exit could leave City light in the right-back department, despite him starting just 11 games in all competitions this campaign.

Rico Lewis has earned Pep Guardiola’s trust this season while Manuel Akanji and John Stones have played as makeshift right-backs on plenty of instances.
Matheus Nunes has started as an emergency right-back in his last two starts against Salford City and Brentford as well.
Who are Man City targeting to replace Kyle Walker?
Earlier this month, Manchester City were ready to sign Nicolo Savona, as TBR Football revealed to replace the outgoing defender.
What impressed the Sky Blues about Savona is that he had the attributes to play as a centre-back in their system — a role that Walker as well as the likes of Akanji and Stones have played on the right side of their defence.
TBR Football were also informed that Manchester City contacted Juventus to sign Andrea Cambiasso as well.
Thiago Motta’s side told the Premier League champions that they were not willing to sell the Italian this January.
However, a £67million fee would tempt them to offload the versatile full-back.
While Savona is much more of a defensive option in the mould of Walker, Cambiasso’s flair, tactical malleability and adventurous forays forward are reminiscent of Joao Cancelo.
With Manchester City set to make three January signings in Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Omar Marmoush, it seems like their business this month is not finalised yet.
