Expert: Bournemouth plan sit-down Andoni Iraola talks after Tottenham latest

Bournemouth are doing everything they can to convince Andoni Iraola to remain at the Vitality Stadium amid interest from Tottenham.
That is according to former Spurs and Man United scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that they will hold sit-down talks about his future at the end of the season.
Iraola is seen as a crucial part of the Cherries’ plans for the future and is believed to be happy at the club despite the interest from elsewhere.
The Spaniard is seen as a front-runner to replace Ange Postecoglou in North London thanks to what has been an impressive first full season at the Vitality.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider that Daniel Levy has already decided Postecoglou’s future with the boss headed for the exit door regardless of their Europa League progress.
However, Football Insider exclusively revealed on 18 April that Iraola has been offered a new contract at Bournemouth to prevent him from joining Tottenham.
Bournemouth deal Tottenham ‘blow’ after Andoni Iraola talks
Brown told Football Insider on 14 April that Iraola is in pole position to replace Postecoglou as Spurs want to bring in somebody with Premier League experience.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience working with elite-level managers including Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade at Man United, has insisted that Tottenham are also considering a number of alternatives for the role.
“He’s done brilliant for Bournemouth,” he told Football Insider.
“He seems a very good fit there and he’s a huge part of their plans for the future, so they’re very reluctant to lose him in the summer.
“They’re going to do whatever is possible to keep him at the club.
“They’ll probably sit down at the end of the season, speak about the transfer window and how much he’ll be allowed to spend, and assess what his thoughts are.
“As far as the things I’ve heard, he seems to be happy there and is enjoying the job.
“So I think a new contract would make a lot of sense for both of them.
“For Tottenham, it’ll be a blow of course, but they’re looking at a number of options for that job.”
Thomas Frank update emerges at Spurs
Brentford manager Thomas Frank has emerged among the contenders for the Spurs job as they continue to weigh up their plans for this summer.
Football Insider revealed on 18 April that Tottenham are considering triggering Frank's Brentford release clause which would allow them to hold formal talks.
However, Brown told Football Insider that while he is a name on their list, Frank is not a leading candidate for Tottenham as things stand.
They would instead prefer to hire a bigger-name manager to help transform their side after a rapid downhill spiral so far this season.
