Keith Hacket believes Fulham were denied a penalty during their recent Premier League fixture against Ipswich Town on Sunday (5 January)

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former PGMOL chief, ex-FIFA, and Premier League referee revealed Marco Silva's side should have had a third penalty after a "clear handballing offence."

Fulham showed real character after coming from behind twice to rescue a point at Craven Cottage in a game filled with controversy and big decisions.

The match featured three penalties in the second half as Raul Jimenez scored a brace and Liam Delap converted one, but the Londoners felt they should have had another.

Ipswich's Luke Woolfenden appeared to handle the ball inside the box when Harry Wilson was looking to dribble through, with that bringing an end to the attack.

Fulham should have been awarded a penalty for handball

The decision not to award Fulham a penalty is something that infuriated fans as they believed it was an obvious decision, but neither the on-field referee nor VAR felt the ned to get involved.

The points shared meant that Silva's men remained ninth in the table while the Tractor Boys were unable to get out of the relegation zone.

Hackett told Football Insider, "Amazing that the handball did not see the intervention of VAR.

"[It was] a clear handling offence."
