Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Premier League against Leicester City on Saturday after a 2-2 draw against Manchester City last week.
Goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz secured a late 4-2 victory over the Foxes, when it seemed as if James Justin’s double was about to snatch a point for Leicester City.
It was a result which extends Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
After the 90 minutes had ended, Gabriel Martinelli hopped onto Instagram to heap praise on Arsenal teammate Riccardo Calafiori.

The Brazil international was clearly impressed by the Italy international’s efforts against Steve Cooper’s side, as he sent a glowing review on Instagram.
Martinelli wrote “crack fratello” in the comments section of Calafiori’s post, which roughly translates to “superstar brother” in Spanish.
Martinelli – who impressed William Saliba and Ian Wright with his display against Leicester City – seems to have struck up a close bond with Calafiori, embracing the Italian after Trossard scored Arsenal’s second goal on Saturday.
It truly was another exceptional display from Calafiori – who Pep Guardiola praised – as he continues to justify his £42m price tag following a summer move from Bologna.
How Calafiori performed statistically in Arsenal win
The 22-year-old is already making himself look like a bargain after an impressive start to life at the Emirates Stadium.
As SofaScore shows, Calafiori made three successful tackles against Leicester City – along with one block and one clearance – while also winning seven aerial duels.
The man from Rome also impressed in an attacking sense, completing both of his attempted dribbles, along with two key passes, three shots on target and a pass success rate of 86%.
It was an all action display from Calafiori – to say the least – and if he continues in this manner, the Arsenal No.33 will become a firm fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium in no time.
