Nottingham Forest ace Morgan Gibbs-White has taken to social media to congratulate teammate Taiwo Awoniyi for his goal against Wolves.
The 27-year-old came on to replace Chris Wood in the 88th minute, rounding off the scoring in added time to secure all three points for the visitors.
Gibbs-White, 24, opened the scoring after just seven minutes against his former side, capping off a rapid counter attack with a low drive past Jose Sa in the Wolves goal.
Forest thought they should have been awarded a penalty shortly after when the ball appeared to strike Rayan Ait Nouri on the hand, but VAR deemed his arm to be in a natural position.
Wood finally doubled their lead just before half-time thanks to a lovely run and pass from Callum Hudson-Odoi, taking his Premier League tally to 12 so far this season.
Awoniyi then tapped James Ward-Prowse’s selfless pass into an open net as Forest continue their surprise push towards Champions League qualification.

Gibbs-White, on the other hand, has been key for Forest as they march toward Champions League qualification, starting all 16 of his games across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing three assists in his 1263 minutes of action.
Gibbs-White took to Instagram to celebrate Awoniyi’s first goal of the season, clearly delighted, he said: “So happy for you brother.”
Forest will travel to Championship Luton for their first FA Cup game of the season on Saturday (January 11), another tournament they could be a dark horse in.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will the face league leaders Liverpool, knowing a win will take them within three points of the Merseyside club.
