'Go for it': Robbie Savage says Arsenal should sign 'unbelievable' player from Man Utd now

Arsenal could do with an extra dynamic in their attack.
The Gunners are lagging behind in the title race right now in spite of the fact that they have the tightest defence in the Premier League.
That's down to the fact that, at times, Arsenal have struggled to score goals.
Arsenal went on a run of three games without a goal from open play in December, and there have been calls for Arsenal to sign a new attacker.
Arsenal have been urged to sign Alexander Isak, while Nico Williams has been linked to Arsenal as of late.
Marcus Rashford to Arsenal has been suggested by some, and speaking on BBC 606, Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton have been discussing the idea of Rashford heading to the Emirates.
Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton disagree over Marcus Rashford to Arsenal
Savage and Sutton shared their verdicts on Rashford and a potential move for Arsenal.
Savage says he'd go for Rashford if he were in charge at Arsenal, while Sutton was more reticent about this potential move.
Indeed, the two pundits disagreed here, with Savage believing this move would be a slam dunk, while Sutton had more questions.
"I think it’s a good fit, Rashford and Arsenal. If I was at Arsenal, I’d go for it," Savage said.
"So Rashford, a risk worth taking for Arsenal?" Savage was asked.
"Yeah, for me, me, yeah, yeah, Do you not think?" Savage asked.
"I would just, if you’re getting, if you’re getting, if you’re getting the perfect Marcus Rashford, of course, but I think that there are question marks about him. It would worry me," Sutton said.
"So Chris, if you were at Arsenal, you wouldn’t take Rashford?" Savage asked.
"I’m not sure. Well, I’d be doing a bit of due diligence, Rob, and doing my checks, really. That’s what I’d be doing," Sutton said.
Savage again backed Rashford to Arsenal later in the show
"Strength in depth. We Talk about all the time. So you look at Arsenal’s bench without Saka. Marcus Rashford has the capability of scoring lots of goals if, you know, he can perform. And Marcus Rashford will score goals for a team again, fact," Savage said.
Marcus Rashford compared to Arsenal attackers
Rashford has been criticised for his performances this season for Manchester United, but, strangely, his numbers haven't actually been that terrible.
Of course, Rashford is a long way away from his best form, but when you compare his stats to some of Arsenal's attacking options, he doesn't look all that bad.
Marcus Rashford | Raheem Sterling | Gabriel Martinelli | Leandro Trossard | |
Games | 15 | 6 | 17 | 19 |
Goals | 4 | 0 | 5 | 3 |
Assists | 1 | 1 | 2 | 2 |
Rashford has scored more goals than Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling, while he's only one behind Gabriel Martinelli.
Of course, he's a way away from matching Bukayo Saka's output, but he's far from being a terrible option for the Gunners.
Rashford is an ‘unbelievable’ player at his best, but we haven’t seen
That said, Rashford apparently earns in excess of £300,000-a-week, and for that sort of money, it may not be worth gambling on a player who has just four league goals in half a season.
Would Rashford be a bad signing for Arsenal? Probably not, but are there better options out there? Most definitely.
