Gary Neville watched on from the commentary box as Tottenham hammered Man City and the former England right-back was left stunned by the poor performance of one City star.

City made it five defeats on the bounce in what is now Pep Guardiola’s biggest losing streak and for City as a whole, it’s a big problem.

With Liverpool still to play, they could be out of the title race already, while the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and more will fancy reeling them in as well.

Over the years, we’ve seen City – led by a group of experienced pros – keep winning at a relentless pace.

One of those experienced pros, Kyle Walker, is still getting picked by Pep Guardiola but after Timo Werner burst past him tonight, Gary Neville was left astounded by how poor Walker is looking.

Gary Neville has big Kyle Walker worry after seeing what Timo Werner did

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville admitted that he couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing from Walker as he suggested the City man has a bit of an ongoing problem.

“Goodness. Gracious. Me,” Neville quipped.

“You don’t see that very often, but we’ve seen it a few times in the last couple of weeks. Vinicius Junior, Mbappe, he’s handled them all, Walker, but he’s struggling at this moment in time.”

Time ticking by for Kyle Walker?

Tottenham paid around £50m to land Kyle Walker back in 2017 and it’s safe to say they’ve had their monies worth from the England man.

But, this is a player who has relied on pace for a lot of his career and as Neville mentions here, that pace has helped him throttle some of the best ever.

Right now, though, Walker looks like the rest of the City squad. Off the pace.

This is something Walker and City must address and with the England man well into his 30s now, there will be question marks starting to get asked.
